In Aurora, coffee shops cluster around downtown offices, college campuses and the main commercial streets of residential neighborhoods, and the independents usually close by mid-afternoon while chains stay open into the evening. Across Illinois, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. Check the listing for hours, whether the cafe takes mobile orders, and its Google rating and recent reviews; parking is easiest at suburban locations, while downtown shops rely on street meters or nearby garages. Loyalty programs are common and worth joining if you are a regular.

Coffee has to be purchased through a subscription, which is inconvenient enough, but it took a week to get my beans after I ordered, and when I did, it appeared I was given beans roasted 2 months prior. Reached out to customer service, who immediately claimed it was roasted the prior weekend, and that the "best by" date was a mislabeling issue. As oily as the beans were, though, it was suspicious enough for me to immediately cancel my subscription.

THE ROASTERY IS NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. IF YOU ARE NOT AN EMPLOYEE (aka a normie) PLEASE DO NOT COME. Love this place! Never felt more at home or relaxed anywhere else! I love that I can sit down and read some books in peace. I'm certainly returning to this cozy spot.

Here’s to giving back to the community and those that may be experiencing challenging moments in their lives. Behind the Roastery are cubed shelves to place toiletries to help others. The LFC Small Group donated and made blessings bags. My husband and I placed them in the cubes and were able to blessed others along the way. Thank You Arnie for receiving my call as directing us to the appropriate place. #IndivisibleAurora
